Christmas Is A Magical Time

söndag 29 maj 2016

Hello crafters!
I hope you´re having a wonderful weekend. Myself I wait for my children to come and celebrate me on Mother's Day, if they haven´t been forgotten about it. Anyway, I took the opportunity to celebrate my own mom yesterday.

I´m participating in Muse:ChristmasVisions this week too, with this card. I was looking for a reindeer that I have not used that much and found this from Sizzix embossing folders  Birds & Reindeer Set. After the dry embossing I first put on a layer of black embossing powder and then a layer of clear embossing powder for a realy raised look. Then I created the background with Distress inks in a similar way as Stephanie, and 3D snow. The Vilda Stamps sentiment is also heat embossed. I naturally want it to sparkle a bit on my card too, so the reindeer's back and horns got some Star Dust Stickles on...and a ren nose of course.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Its Your Day Today!

torsdag 26 maj 2016

Hello there crafters!
It's Mother's Day on Sunday and I have made a card for her that also includes a big hug! I used Mama Elephant- Freestyle Florals stamps with coordinated dies and colored with Copics.

I used a "Hug" die, and a sentiment stamp from Gummiapan. Ok, I think that´s about it.
Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a great day!

For A Special Person On A Special Day

tisdag 24 maj 2016

Hello crafters!
It really has quickly gone from spring to summer here with me, all of a sudden it is very hot for the season, and all the flowers are in bloom at once. It is difficult to find time to enjoy all the beauty of nature. But here I caught some peonies using Alternews "Beautiful Day" stamp sets.

I used Distress inks and some Copic pens for the shadings. The K-designs sentiment is stamped in black and then clear heat embossed. I used a ScrapBerrys stencil for the blue dots. and finally, I added a piece laser cut border and some bling stones.
Okay that´s all for me. Wishing you a all lovely day!
Hugs, Birgit

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year

söndag 22 maj 2016

Hi everyone!
Today I share a card for Muse:ChristmasVisions, I have kept the card's design, the brown color and the dots which I thought was nice. However, I changed out the snowflake against a wreath...

... but to reconnect to the snowflake I let it sparkle with bling stones and glitter. I used some patterned paper from Basic Grey, the CR1327 die from Marianne Design to create the sentiment and a Panduro stamp for the wreath.

Since I also want to link up with the Creative Knockouts Finish The Inside challenge, I show it.
I used the same colors to the K-designs sentiment as to the wreath and the same paper.
As always thanks for stopping by!
Hugs, Birgit

Love

fredag 20 maj 2016

Hello crafters!
Today I have another wedding card to show you, a true romantic one...aren´t they cute?

I decided to use the "Bird Swing" stamp from Whimsy Stamps and give it the focus of my card by placing it in a frame made with Die-namics Inside/Out Stitch Ovals dies. I colored the image with Copics and I also added Glossy Accents to the flowers. I used a linen cardstock that is a little creamy white, which I think is very beautiful. The sentiment stamp is from You Do. I also used the Penny Black "Soft Caress" die and the "Fresh Foliage" die from Memory Box.
Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a great day!

Winter Landscape

tisdag 17 maj 2016

Hello there crafters!
I´m baaaaack! With a new card for Muse:ChristmasVisions, the original...

....and this is my card.

For my card, I wanted a little bit stronger and Christmassy colors, and for the same reason I wanted to keep the hare / rabbit, otherwise I think the card becomes uninteresting in any way. I used some different spruce stamps and heat embossed them with "Bridal" pouder for a glittery look. Next, I made the background with watercolors and cut out the sentiment with a Mandy´s die. Just as Chriss I backed it but not with foam but with several layers die cuts out of black cardstock. I made the hare from Marianne Design (CR1340) the same way. I finished my card with a few clear sequins.
As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Wedding Card

söndag 15 maj 2016

Hello crafting friends!
Today I have a wedding card to show, there are many who take the opportunity to marry in the spring and summer, and now I have got reason to make a couple of cards which is always great fun.

On the first, as I show here, it´s a bit difficult to see the amazing paper that shimmers beautifully in cream / gold (I saved it in my stash for years). It´s classic and elegant with hearts that I cut out with Spellbinders dies and where the upper heart is embossed with dots. I also cut out the leaves with the Memory Box "Fresh Foliage" die out of grey cardstock. I used K-design stamps for the sentiment and clear heat embossed it. I also added flowers and clear sequins to bling it up.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Birthday

torsdag 12 maj 2016

Hello there!
Today I would like to show you another 1 year birthday card creation by me.

I have colored this digi cutie with Copics, and after clipping I matched it to a background that I made with Distress inks and the blending tool. At the bottom, I attached a bit of a "Grassy Border" die cut from Lawn Fawn. Next I die cut and stamped flowers from the Mama Elephants "Up and Away" stamp set and cut out by hand. For my congrats sentiment, I used a Svenskatextstämplar stamp, stamped with StazOn in Iris. For the number one, I used a numerical die who is also from Mama Elephant. I chose to add Glossy Accents to the balloon and the bands on present, and a little gold glitter to the small stars. Lastely, for a final touch, I added some sequins and a blue gem.
I hope you enjoyed todays project. Thanks so much for stopping by. and I hope you have wonderful week!
Hugs, Birgit

My Silver Reindeer

tisdag 10 maj 2016

Hi there crafters!
A super quick post from me today, the work is waiting. I made this card a few days ago for Muse: ChristmasVisions but have not had time to show it.

For my card I have used Tim Holtz Alterations "Prancing Deer" die and a sentiment die from Rox Stamps. I colored in a piece of natural ribbon with red Distress Ink and tied around its neck.
Okay, thanks for visiting!

For A Special Person On A Special Day

söndag 8 maj 2016

Hi there!
It´s time to end this week too (they run away so fast) and I do it with a birthday card to a little girl. As you can see, it is just one candle in the cake because she celebrates her first birthday.

For todays card I used a digi image that I colored up with my Copics, and I also added Glossy Accents to the eyes. After I cut it out, I adhered it with foam pads over the white panel where I first cut out a heart with a Spellbinders die. The beautiful patterned glitter paper is from Best Creation and the sentiment is a Svenskatextstämplar stamp.
Okay that´s all for me. Thanks so much for visiting!

Designer Paper In A CAS Style

onsdag 4 maj 2016

Hello crafters!
Today I have a card to share that I have made for this week's Designer Paper challenge over at Less is More and here is my take.

I used a gorgeous glitter paper (sorry it´s hard to see on the photo) from Best Creation...in green of cource to celebrate spring and all the green sprouting outside my window right now. I love spring, the best season of all!!! The feather is cut with a Spellbinders die and then I added rhinestones like some sort of water droplets. The "Hugs" sentiment are from Reprint.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Christmas

måndag 2 maj 2016

Hello again crafters!
Just wanted to pop in for a quick post today to share a new card for Muse:ChristmasVisions that I have created.

I stamped and clear heat embossed the snowflakes before I inked the background with  the inkblending tool. Next I colored the "Cling Ice Skates" stamp from Stampendous with my Copics, added Glossy Accents to the blades, and cut it out. I used an old "Julpost" Reprint stamp to create the ornament and the sentiment was cut out with a Mandys die.
Thank you for stopping in today!
Hugs, Birgit

Recycle More!

söndag 1 maj 2016

Hello there crafters!
Something a little different from me today, I have recycled a gift box and It always feels so good:)

For this project in shabby chic style, I used patterned papers from FabScraps and a sweet vintage image from Pion Design. I created a glossy crackled heart out of chipboard, acrylic paint, crackle paint and a thick layer clear embossing pouder, which I then bent and tied nature twine around. The K-design sentiment was first stamped in cherry red and then clear heat embossed. As you can see, I also added some more embellishments. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
Take care and have a great sunday!
Hugs, Birgit
