First, some photos from there. Then I show you a new card that I have made.

It is full of activity and concentration.

Here are some project ready for the challenges.

I started my card with stamping on cardstock and then heat embossed it.
The stamp are from Vilda Stamps, thereafter I sponged over with a couple of Distress Inks.
Using one Nestabilities Fleur De Lis Squares die, I made a embossed frame pattern round the image.

Then I sponged it slightly with Silver and Graphite Inka-Gold.
At the top I attached a chain with brads.

For the background I used papers from Echo Park and coordinations paper that I tore, crumpled and sanded. A couple of stamps finished of this project.
Thanks Mia and all the other participants for the enjoyable past weekend.

Hello friends!
I have a new card to show you today...
I'll try to take time for a couple of creations for Ett Trykk this week also, and the first up is about Dry Embossing.
I am using this weeks Sketch N Stash sketch.

For the embossing have I used one of my favorite folders right now from Mpress with swirls.
I started with Pretty in Pink papers from Glitz design. After embossing, I sponged it with Weathered Wood Ink.

The sweet girl image were cut out from one old Slöjd detaljer paper.
I also used Glossy Accents for the text to highlight it.

For the lower panel, I brushed white Gesso onto cardstock that I first glued on jute fabric. Once dry, I cut it and sponged the edges with Vintage Photo. The swirls was made out of vax paper with one Shapeabilities Floral Fluorish die.

The butterflies was cut out of a Pion design paper. I finished of with some buttons, flower, ribbon and natural twine.

Photo Of An Angel, Is It Possible?

torsdag 18 april 2013

Hello, thanks for your visit here today on my blog!
I´m back with another sample for Ett Trykk and their challenges. This time it´s about photo stamps and this is the best I can do.

The stamp I have used is from La Blanche.
I think they have amazingly beautiful and detailed stamps.

I have only used one designer paper this time, and it´s from Primas Meadow Lark Collection.
That's what it takes this week at Papertake Weekly and I was going to combine it with the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I cut my angel out with one Nestabilities Labels Twelwe die and sponged the edges with Dusty Concord.
A broad black lace complements and highlights the image.

I found three more challenges to enter:
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Lace and Pearls
Paper Crafting Journey - Use a Sentiment
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

And that's all for today, hope to see you again!

Boys And Their Toys

tisdag 16 april 2013

Hi there!
It´s time for a new jubilee challenge over at Ett Trykk.
The first challenge this week is about foam stamps and I was stunned!
I have no foam stamps, and at first I could not think of anything to make one of either. (sigh)

Then I realized that makeup sponges perhaps would do to stamp with.
So I started stamping with a couple of blue shades of Distress Inks on cardstock.

Then I splashed on some water that I mixed with a bit Inca Gold Platinum so it got a lovely silvery finish.
I used a small swirl stamp, and painted round dots around the edge of the card.

For the sentiment and the wings I used Autumn Leaves stamps from the Love With a Flourish set.
It's always fun to find new uses for old or leftover things, and this time I thought that these LEGO pieces could fit the "Boys and their toys" theme of my card

The wings was cut out and placed behind the car after I cut out holes in the paper with a sharp knife.

I sprayed a piece of resist canvas with a few Dylusions sprayes and adhered it together with a button and some twine.

Other stuff that I used: Washi Tape, Metal corner, Rhinestones, Ribbon, Pearls and a piece of braided Leater strap.
I think that´s all from me today.
Have a great week!
Hugs, Birgit

Only Count The Sunny Hours

fredag 12 april 2013

Hello, and good morning!
We are approaching the weekend again, I hope it brings something nice to you. Maybe a little craft time?
Here I have a card with a slightly different folding to show today.

This is also another project for Ett Trykk and their challenge Backgronds with structure.
I made my background by first crumple tissue paper, then straighten it and stamped on it with a text stamp.

I glued it on a piece of cardstock, gave it a little more Distress inks, and  then I added a thin layer of decoupage paint.

I decided to use a small magnet to the closing of the card.
Behind the image that I have cut out from Graphic 45 Secret Garden papers, you can see coordinations paper that I have run through one embossing plate and then sanded.

I found the old metal button in a small second-hand shop a while ago. I think it´s perfect for this card. Oh, I forgot the stamp in the upper corner, it´s from Pinkpaislee.
Here is the card open. In the middle I placed a tag in a little pocket.

Entered Challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown - Fancy Folds
Crafty Creations - No Squares
Anonyme Scrappere - Hjemmelaget mönsterark+Gjenbruksgjenstand
Simply Create Too - Use Your Stash

Thanks so very much for stopping by!

Metal Embossing Ala Good Old Days

onsdag 10 april 2013

Hello everyone!
I'm back again, and that is because of  Ett Trykk.
They have started the week with new challenges for us, the first one is about metal embossing in the "old-fashioned" way.

I liked the idea with the heart, so I started by making my own that I thought for a man´s card.
Therefore I used the paper Magic Mushrooms from Landstoken for the background.

I wrapped a few times around the heart with metal wire and fastened a little tag with it.
I added a little Inka Gold around the edges of the tag, and on the heart.

The sentiment on the tag was stamped with a Rox stamp, then I cut it out with a Magnolia Doohickeys die. The big sentiment were made with a stamp from Bildmålarna.

I also used Coredinations paper that I sanded and adhered together with ribbons and flowers.
I show you the inside as usual...
I found some more challenges for my card:
Papertake Weekly - Bingo (Glitter, Die Cuts, Bloom)
Divas By Design - Flowers
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Anything Goes - Heavy Metal
Stamp With Fun - Birthday
Robyns Fetish - Anything Goes
Dream Valley - Happy Birthday

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Hold On Tight To Your Dream

tisdag 9 april 2013

Hi all, hope you´re having a great week!
Today I really challenged myself! This card is totally "not me"!
And it is because of Our Creative Corner and their challenge this week. It's about Modern Texture - as in clean lines, sleek and smoth, angles and shapes, funky and cool...

And as if that was not enough, you should use a special color scheme.
Well, here is my take on it! Remember that my style is so vintage, romantic...
I took help of this weeks sketch over at Sketchy Colors.

I thought it worked better with Distress Markers than Copics for coloring this time. It gives a little fainter and darker color tone that I think goes well with this theme.
Image: Ebony from The Emerald Fairie garden. I gave the mushroom hat and the wings a layer of Glossy Accents.

I used papers from Woodland Park the October Afternoon collection.
I think this is the first time ever that I only have used one embellishment. And that is a button of wood that I first turned face down, so we only see the nice wood backside.
One more Challenge: Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hugs, Birgit

A Belated Congratulations Greeting

lördag 6 april 2013

Hi everyone!
Saturday, and my last card for Ett Trykk and their Mosaic Card challenge.
I've cut up old left over papers into small rectangles and then glued them to a new mosaic pattern.

This time I let the sentiment to be in focus, I used one K-design stamp.
For the frame I used  another stamp from Stamping Scrapping, that fits to one of Nestabilities Labels Three dies.

The brown swirls are made of vax paper. I colored in seam binding with different Distress Inks to the bow.

I will not bore you with more details, so I wish you all a nice weekend!
Hugs, Birgit
