Friends

Hello there friends, hope all is well with you.
Have you started sprinkling a little Christmas magic in your home yet? I´m just beginning in my home...started to set up candlelights and hang the stars in the windows for first Advent this weekend.
And then I'm working on with the Christmas cards of course.

This one is in shades of blue, except for the red berries.
I used this weeks sketch over at Papertake Weekly, I just rotated it a bit.

I started with a base made by papers from BoBunny Powder Mountain collection (I love it). The image was stamped with a Tina Wenke stamp from Stampavie and then colored with my Copics.
To get some pepth in the image I added 3D snow, glitter and glossy accents to some parts.
It was cut out with one Nestabilities Labels Eleven. Then I drew the edge "zebra" striped with a black pen.
To finish, I added black lace, ribbon, paper lace, seam binding, pearls, pins, leaves and a metal plate in silver.
I´d like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Divas By Design - Glitter and Sparkle
Crafts and Me - Ribbon or Twine
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Bearly Mine - Blues and Silver
Tuesday Throwdown - Lots of Layers
Timeless Tuesday - Gold or Silver
Stamp With Fun - Winter

I hope you enjoyed my little darlings.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Birgit

Merry Christmas!

tisdag 27 november 2012

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a good week!
Today I have a Bendy Fold Card to show you, and this is my first attempt with such a card.
The last issue of the magazine Ett Trykk provides a description of how to do it. I think it got stylish and a wonderful dimension, but it becomes difficult to get it down in an envelope:)

I have used papers from Pion Design and pieces of one Melissa Frances Xmas paper.
Doilies, lace, ribbon, pearls and gold rhinestones was also used.
The sentiment on the front flap, and the one on the back was stamped with two different Reprint stamps. I added one Kaiser Craft journal tag on the inside.

The bird was first painted with white Crackle paint, then I sponged the edges a little with red Distress Ink.
That´s it for today!

I´d like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
One Stop Craft - Vintage Christmas
Totally Gorjuss - Don´t be Square
Crafty Boots - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking!

A Christmas Hug To You!

lördag 24 november 2012

Hi, and good morning crafters, thanks for stopping by this weekend!
The theme for me today is Christmas. No surprise, perhaps, I see lots of Christmas cards among all the blogs out there, so I know I'm not alone.

For today's project, I have used a stamp from Bildmålarna, which I colored in with my Copics.
I masked the image and made the background stamping with Reprint stamps and heat gold embossing. Little Platinum Stickles finished of before cutting it.

A Winterland Tree was cut out with a Memory Box die and green rhinestones was placed on it for decoration.

The sentiment from K-Designs was cut out with Nestabilities Large Labels. Papers are from last years Echo Park Season´s Greetings collection. A white border was punched with a MS and adhered at the bottom under the ribbon/bow.

I also added some Flowers, Leaves, Glossy Accents, Ribbon and brown branches.

Kids & Teens

torsdag 22 november 2012

Hi everyone!
It feels like it's difficult to find enough time right now to everything that must be done. Luckily I managed to do this book card, which I show today, already last week.

This is a digi that I've colored with Copics, and I've thought this book card should be for a young guy.
The papers are from Papirdesign. I used one rhinestone swirl to be like exhaust.

The sentiment over the image "From me to you" are from
K-design, and for the sentiment on the little tag "Specially made, with love and care just for you", I used a stamp from Rox Stamps.
The hinges was made with one Shapeabilities Fancy Tags.

I also used the following items for decoration, but I tried not to add too many things: Silver Paper Pen, Pearls, Jeans buttons, Seam Binding, Ribbon, Button, Leatherstrap, Metal corners, Metal chain and a Boot charm.

This card is for Top Tip Tuesdays Kids & Teens challenge, and some others:
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
Stamptacular - Recipe ( Ribbon/Twine, Pearls/Gems, Die cuts/Punches)
Lady Anne´s - Anything Goes
CMC Copic - Kids
Papertake Weekly - Ribbons & Pearls

That´s it for today, thanks for your visit! Happy crafting!
Hugs, Birgit

Magical Christmas

måndag 19 november 2012

Hi, blog friends! Hope you had a nice weekend.
Today I want to share a Christmas card I have made with last years Die-cut toppers from Papermania.
I tried to combine the pink tones with a bit of red, and lots of glitter.

First, I used Tim Holtz sticky embossing powder on my chipboard snowflake and then I sprinkled glitter over it. But I did not think it was good enough so I put on another layer, this time I used Glossy Accents and then I sprinkled over even more glitter. After I placed a rhinestone in the center, I was satisfied.

For the papers in the background I used the Merry Christmas collection from Landstoken.
The little snowflake was punched out. I also used pink paper ribbon, pearl string, flowers, lace and Star Dust Stickles.

I have found some challenges that might fit my card:
Crafts and Me - Untraditional Christmas Colours
Bearly Mine - Pink Christmas
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Thanks for taking the time and visiting my blog today!
Hugs, Birgit

Mistletoe Kiss

lördag 17 november 2012

Hello dear blogging friends!
It´s Saturday again and I´m popping in to share a center step card I created in a vintage - retro Christmas style.

I absolutely adore this Inkido image! I layered it in with some matching papers from the Coming Home For Christmas collection, lace, flowers and white die cuts.

The tag was also cut out from one of the papers and stamped with the stamp called "öppnas 24".

To finish of, I added 3D snow and glitter on top of the roses.
I had intended to show the inside, but just found out that I did not take any pictures of it. Clumsy of me! (If I have time I'll update later with a picture.)

Here is now the promised inside:)

That will be all from me. Thanks so much for checking in with me today!
Have a wonderful weekend my friends!!
Hugs, Birgit

Vintage Angel

onsdag 14 november 2012

Hi there, hope you have a great week so far!
Thank you so much for visiting me. Today I got inspired by the Crazy4Challenge - Favourite Christmas Carols. And it´s a Swedish one called: "Soon will the Angels landing". I love the color green, and I think it work so well especially for Christmas cards. So here's a green one!

Today´s card is made with a La Blanche stamp, and some old green papers from my stash.
I cut out the leaves by hand from coredinations paper and sanded them. After that I gave them a coat of crackle paint and let them dry before adhering them together with red berries.

I´ve used a lace with small seashells that gives a lovely vintage feel to the bottom of the card.
The sentiment was stamped with a Inkido stamp on kraft cardstock and heat embossed with glittery green powder.

I also used Tim Holtz tissue tape, a doily and Distress Inks.
Here are a few challenges that I thought would fit my card:
Kreative Stempelfreunde - Your Favourite Colors
Divas By Design - Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments - Christmas
The Stamp Man - Emboss It
Well, that's it for me today. Wish you well!
Hugs, Birgit

Specially made with love and care just for you.
