Christmas Tag Card

onsdag 31 oktober 2012

Hi again,
I have another Christmas card to share with you today.
And this time it has a little different style from what I usually do.
It has no colored image, or any image at all. I've only used a Christmas tree die from Nellie Snellen on a piece of paper from Bildmålarna. I cut it out and then just turned it, and put it back in the hole.

I heat embossed the chipboard star in gold and then added some platinum Stickles for even more sparkle.

A sentiment from Reprint was stamped in Fired Brick Distress Ink and then got a little Stickles too.
A lace was added at the bottom together with pearls. Parts of a Memory Box cut out was added on the tree together with pearl swirls.
Thanks for visiting, have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Birgit

A Child Is Born

torsdag 25 oktober 2012

Hello everyone and welcome back!
My God, it's already Thursday, weeks just rushing away and soon we have November here!
You'll have to excuse the pictures are a bit dark.

This card I made the other night of the amazing papers from Pion design, and in my excitement it became perhaps a little too over decorated:)

Besides the papers, I have used a Nellie Snellen die to the trees. And then a lot of Gesso, Crackle Paint, Glitter and Stickles.

Here I have used Shapeabilities Floral Flourish dies and some "diamonds" from my stash.
Ribbon, Twine, a metal Charm, different Laces, Gauze, one Doilie, Flowers, Leaves....sigh .... I hope that was all!
I kept the inside a little "cleaner" :)

Thank you very much for your visit today. Take care!
Hugs, Birgit

Friends Are Like Angels...

måndag 22 oktober 2012

Hi friends! So happy to have you stopping by today!
I have a tag to show you where the text continues as follows:  ....you can not always see them, but they are always there!

I started with a tag with inks on, being left over when I have made any project some time ago.
After I painted on with more color, I covered it with stamped tissue paper. Then I painted it again with white acrylic paint and wiped of the excess. I also sponged the edges a bit.

Then it's not so complicated, just follow the card recipe:
Stamps: Inkido, Reprint
Paper: Pion Design - Bilder Från Förr
Inks: Distress ink, White Acrylic Paint
Embellishments: Laces, Star Dust Stickles, colored in Seam Binding, Button, Twine and Gauze.

That´s all from me today. I hope you all have a great day!
Hugs, Birgit

Gift Bag For Christmas Presents

lördag 20 oktober 2012

Hi again, I´m back today with a gift bag for Christmas, perfect for all Christmas presents that will soon be purchased.

The papers are all from the Inkido Forever Santa and Coming Home For Christmas collections.
The girl image is super cute, I think.

I cut out tags from the papers and stamped one of them with a Christmas sentiment. A star in corrugated cardboard was adhered over the lovely lace.
I finished of with flowers and brown moss.
And that is all from me today! Have a great weekend!
Hugs, Birgit

Best Friends

Hi, and welcome to my blog today!
Autumn has really arrived and I have borrowed a little of all the fall colors to my card. I also think that the stamp motif brings a bit of peace and reflection that I like.

I decided to color the horse image from Whimsy Stamps with Copics, around the edges I stamped some leaves with Distress Ink.
For the background I used some papers I had left from Pinkpaislee the Butterfly Garden Collection.

The sentiment from Inkido is a favorite, it says: Wishing you all that you desire. It was cut and embossed with the smallest of the Nestabilities Long Classic Scalloped Rectangles Large dies.
A lovely lace from The Funkie Junkie Boutique was adhered behind the image, that I first had tied some string around.

Flowers, leaves, pearls, a metal corner, seam binding tied to a bow, and swirls made with Floral Fluorishes dies finished of my card.
On the inside I made a pocket with a tag.
Thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Birgit

Traditional Christmas Colours

måndag 15 oktober 2012

Happy Monday!
Here with me it is autumn now, misty and foggy, and my garden is full of leaves. Sigh!
I hope you are well, and have some sun with you.
But that's just a little more than two months left until Christmas so I've actually made one more Christmas card.

I have used this weeks sketch over at Everybody Art Challenge.

I started with a wreath stamp from Robyns Fetish and colored it with Copics. Then I added Glossy Accents to the ribbon and adhered some rhinestones and pearls. I cut it out with Spellbinders dies.

The circle image was layered over Landstoken papers and lace.
Flowers, ribbon, twine and Spellbinders swirls was attached to the left.
A sentiment was stamped and heat embossed, then stitched to a piece of green cardstock. I added green glittery Stickles round it too. White Paper Pen pearls in the lower right corner finished of this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!
Hugs, Birgit

Rustification

fredag 12 oktober 2012

Hello blogfriends!
Here is a card, or should I perhaps say a flower that I have done to the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and Show. I wanted to experiment a bit with metal tape, alcohol inks and embossing powder.
The result was a flower that I didn´t know what to do with, but it ended on a card.

I used nesting dies from x-cut for my flower. In the middle I adhered twisted metal wire and a metal pearl.
I combined the flower with embroidery linen, old cut out laces and some other goodies from my stash.

I enter this card into this challenges too:

Blue Christmas

onsdag 10 oktober 2012

Welcome friends to my blog!
This time I have a new Christmas card to show you.

I started with a piece of coredinations paper that I first embossed with Impressabilities Diamond and Stars. Then I sanded it, wich gave it a nice look, and added it together with a white punched border.

The Frostyville Wreath die cut was made with a Memory Box die. For the swirls I used Shapeabilities Floral Fluorishes dies.

I used last years paper collection from Papirdesign and a silvery ribbon that i tied to a bow.
A piece of a glittery ribbon was adhered at the bottom. I stamped a sentiment from Reprint on top of the image and then I made a little tag using a You Do stamp, the edges was sponged with ink.

To finish of, I added some pearls and a metal corner on top left.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Birgit

Matching Set of 3

måndag 8 oktober 2012

Welcome to a new week and to my blog!
I´m here with the last projects for the Anonyme Timeglass Part 4 challenge.

Matching
Make a matching set of 3, here is my take on it.

I remembered that I had saved three free digi images of men playing music on my computer some time ago.

I printed them out in different sizes and backed two of them up with note stamping in pink, then I sponged the edges.
For the first one I cut him out with Spellbinders and placed him on a Diaper Fold Card made of coordinating pattern papers from October Afternoon Woodland Park. I used those papers for all the three matching projects. A little tag was made with a sentiment and note stamping, then three blue rhinestones was adhered to the image.

For the next one I placed him on a Gable Box made of the same papers, three blue rhinestones was adhered here also.

For my last musician I chose a Wine Tag. Naturally, he is accompanied by three blue rhinestones.
An invitation (Here I come to Save the day) with wine, something good to eat and good music related, how about that?
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs, Birgit
