Hug A Tree

måndag 26 september 2011

Good Monday to you all blogging friends!
I have a new card that I want to show you. It has autumn feeling in the colors and motifs.

I have used the great sketch over at Stampin Royalty this time.
I really like the colors of the Crafty Individuals Background Papers which I have used here.
The tree, which also is a Crafty Individuals, I stamped with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

I punched out leaves from different papers, sponged the edges, and layered a little Crackle Accents over so that they bend and get an old look.
I used lovely flowers from Pateloo and then I glued some sparkly / transparent / silver beads between the leaves.

Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles die was used to the frame,
and some ribbons from my stash were tied over the image.

I also enter this card in the Sparkles Forum challenge, this week it´s about Something that Sparkles.
And in the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown - Fall.

Thank you so much for stopping in today!
Sending you hugs,
Birgit

Training Log

torsdag 22 september 2011

Hi everone, hope you have a great week!
I´m back with a new project to share.
This time it´s a training Log for myself.
I have diaries for several years, but none of them are this nice, because of that I have never bothered to decorate them.

I started with a piece of a g.c.d.studios paper, then sponged the edges with Vintade Phote Distess Ink.
Natural string and lace was glued on for a vintage style.
Using one of the Spellbinders Label Four die, I cut out the sentiment that a made on my computer.
Then stamped it with feather stamp from Inkadinkado in Frayed Burlap and Forest Moss Ink.

The flower is made of white lace, brown ribbon and a metal brad from Creative Imaginations.
A button and ribbon/twine from my stash was placed over the sentiment, a swirl from Kort & Godt and a stamp with a cycling child finished of my project.

Entered Challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room - Vintage White
Stamp With Fun - Anything Goes
Kreative Stempelfreunde - Anything Goes But Not A Card
Allsorts Challenge - Alter/Recycle
Vintage Utfordring - Anything Goes
Sparkles Forum - White and One Other Colour
Simon Says Stamp - Dies To Die For

Have a continued good week!
Hugs, Birgit

söndag 18 september 2011

Hi everyone!
I´m want to show you my latest creation.

The great sketch I´ve used can be found at The Sweet Stop.
I have made my own flower by using Docrafts Diecuts, Vintage photo/Frayed burlap dyed in gauze, Diamond Stickles and a sparkly brown brad.

But I started with papers from Inkido -Forever Summer, G.C.D Studios and Maja Design - Äntligen.
The sentiment is a Rox Stamp and a Prima stamp. I used Rangers Archival Ink. Coffee.
The frame was cut out with a Nellie Snellen die and sponged with Distress Ink and then I gave it a little Diamond Stickles too.

I also used Pearl Paper Pen and Punched out stars covered with Star Dust Stickles.

I dyed in Seam Binding with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick and made a pin with a pearl on it.

What have I used more .... hmm. yes, velvet ribbons, clips and so the sewing machine of course.

I was inspired by the following challenges:

Welcome

onsdag 14 september 2011

Welcome back to my blog!
I have a card I made for last week's challenge of Less is More - Metal.
But as I said yesterday, I have not had phone or internet in over a week so I have not been able to show it to you.
But since there actually are two hinges on my door card, it might almost fit as well at this week's challenge - Seeing double.

I have used stamps from Crafty Individuals and Frayed Burlup Distress Ink.
Silver Pearl Maker was the only thing I had for the hinge rivets.

I cut a nail in half and glue it so it looks as if it goes straight into the door.

That´s all from me today.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs, Birgit

Christmas Angel

tisdag 13 september 2011

Hello! A new week is already up and running.
A truck with timber tore down our telephone line for over a week ago so I have not had phone or internet in the last week.
Therefore I have not been able to lay out my post until now, but better late than never.
It's a Christmas card but it has not the traditional Christmas colors.
I hope I feel as good about the cherry red / purple / brown colors in December.

The angel from Crafty Individuals is painted with Copics, and the wings were also painted with Twinklings Heavenly White for more shine.
I cut it out and placed it over a Spellbinders cirkle cut out, that I first stamped with notes from You Do in Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.

First I gave the music swirl from FabScraps one layer Distress crackle paint, then one layer Glossy accents and so I immediately strew over glitter.

The papers are also from FabScraps. I have torn and sponged the edges with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.
Merry Christmas was stamped directly on the paper and heat embossed with Cherry embossing pouder, both from Reprint.
Here is the inside...

I have also used a punch, sewing mashine, pearl Paper Pen, tulle and twine from my stash.

Entered challenges:
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Inspired By A Song ( Silent Night )
Charisma Cardz Challenges - Inspired By A Song ( Silent Night )
Paper Sundaes - Finish The Inside Of The Card
Phindy´s place - Stripes Somewhere
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Things With Wings
Scrapperiket Utfordringsblog - Punch/Dies
Scrappy Frogs Challenge - Vintage

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

What is Shabby Chic?

torsdag 1 september 2011

Hi there...hope you all having a great week so far!
This is a Shabby Chic card i made for Top Tip Tuesday and some other Challenges.
At least I think it´s Shabby Chic style, perhaps it would have been a bit milder tones.

For sketch inspiration, I played along with this week´s Papertake Weekly Challenge.

I didn´t color the image so much, just added Star Dust and Frosted Lace Stickles.
For the frame I used Crackle Accents and Platinum Stickles.

I have used papers and stamps from Crafty Individuals, 3ndypaper and Panduro.
I made my flower by using different dies from Docraft and Spellbinders, sponged them with Distress Inks, sprayed with Glimmer Mist and then shaped it. There´s a brad in the middle.

I want to show someting from the inside too.

As always thanks so much for visiting!
Hugs,Birgit
