Hello again!
I created a card this morning for Card Patterns
as well as the Bling It On challenge at Totally Gorjuss.
After I was finished, I looked at the card and thought - what have I done?
Was it not a bit too much glitter .... hmmm.
What do you think?

I started  by stamping the flower image from La Blanche,
then colored it with Copic Markers and Stickles.
After that I cut and embossed it with a Nestabilities Label Eight,
and placed it over another cut and embossed purple cardstock, this time with Nestabilities Lattice Rectangles.

The background paper is so old that I do not know where it comes from,
it was stiched to the same purple cardstock.
But the piece that I have used with my punch is from BoBunny - "a gift of love".
The sentiment from StampingScrapping is stamped and cut with Shapabilities Fancy Tags.

I have decorated the card with flowers, ribbons, bead string and lace from my stash.
And the leaves have been given a coat of Glossy Accents.
Then I have gone loose with the Star Dust and Platinum Stickles!

Here is the inside....

I enter this card in Craft Your Passion Challenges too - Show Us Your Layers
Thank´s so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Birgit.

Hello!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a joyous Easter.
Thank you for looking what I have done this week for Less is More.

This little bird is from Crafty Secrets and I colored it with my Copics.

I would also like to use my new Spellbinders that I just got delivered.
The Metal Flower is given to me by my daughter, but I know she bought it at Panduro.
I placed a pearl in the middle.

I saw that my card can fit in The Ribbon Girl Challenge - Red, White and Blue.
That´s all from me.
Hugs to you....

Once Upon A Time...

torsdag 21 april 2011

Hi there!
I have made a card where I have used the sketch over at Fruarna Lilja .
And I couldn´t resist these vintage images from The Graphic Fairy.

I matched them up with papers from Maja Design - Sommartider,
and some old lace from my stash.

On the framework, I put a little Crackle Accents and Stickles-Platinum.
My Once Upon A Time stamp are from What a Swirl stamps set from StampingScrapping,

Different flowers from various producers,
and the frame around the image is made with a Spellbinders Heart Circles.

For the inside I used another lovely image from The Graphic Fairy.

What experiments!

tisdag 19 april 2011

Good morning!
This week's challenge of Less is More, was to use acetate.
Oh dear, the only acetate I had left was already stamped with purple swirls!
I looked everywhere! Finally I found a small piece that has been cover for a box of craft stuff.
I have seen on youtube that you can heat emboss on acetate, so I thought I'd try it.
First I used Distress Ink Black Soot because I did not want the stamp would be jet black.
Then I poured the clear embossing powder over and warmed up.
Of the heat, the acetate shrunk together and became even smaller, and the color disappeared.
Of course I immediately realized my mistake.
Now what to do? Well I tryed to use Distress crackle paint all over, but it made it gray instead.
So I tried to wipe away most of it. Then I found out that I would stamp on the top of the crackle paint instead, this time with black Momento Tuxedo.
Then the crackle paint started to crackle and fall off the acetate!
So then I put on Glossy accents over the whole surface.
The result you can see here ....

It appeared a shade of pink that I do not know where it comes from. Weird ...

Moreover, I also used a punch and seam binding that I wrinkled up.
On the inside I used a matching paper from Laura Ashley
to bring out the subject and the white crackle paint.

That´s it for my make this week, but I gotta tell you,
sometimes the result is quite different from that expected.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
Hugs, Birgit.
